Follow these easy steps to reveal your beautiful new color:
Step 1: Prep & Protect
l Patch Test: Our formula is exceptionally gentle with No Ammonia and No PPD. However, safety comes first. A patch test MUST be performed 24-48 hours before each use.
How to do it: Apply a small amount of the product to a clean area of skin, like behind your ear or on your inner elbow. Leave it dry and undisturbed for 24-48 hours. If you don't experience any redness, itching, or irritation, you are ready to glow!
l Strand Test: Hair texture influences color results. We highly recommend applying the product to a small, hidden section of your hair, waiting 15 minutes, and rinsing. This helps you preview the exact color result on your unique hair type and determine your perfect processing time.
l Glove or Not: One of our signature features is the "No Gloves Needed" experience! You can enjoy a seamless, true shampoo-like application with your bare hands. Just make sure to immediately wash any residual foam off your hands, nails, and facial hairline right after lathering to prevent any delayed color tinting. Of course, if you prefer to protect a fresh manicure, wearing suitable gloves is a great optional choice. Either way, it will absolutely not affect the amazing color results!
Step 2: Apply & Lather
IMPORTANT: For best results, please ensure your hair is clean and apply the product to completely DRY hair. Water would dilute the formula and prevent the pigment from fully adhering.
Turn the pump to the left to unlock and prepare to dispense.
l Gentle Reminder: Due to bumps during transit, the first few pumps of a new bottle might dispense an uneven ratio of the two formulas inside. Don't worry, this is completely normal! For the best color results, please pump a few times onto a tissue or sink until both formulas dispensing evenly together before applying it to your hair.
Once dispensing evenly, we offer two great ways to apply:
l The Pro Method (For Optimal Coverage): Because of our unique Carbomer-based formula, the botanical pigments work best when applied directly. Pump the product straight onto your hair (focusing on the grayest areas first), and then use your fingertips to massage it into a rich, dense lather.
l The Classic Routine: If you prefer your usual shower routine, you can also pump the product into your palms, rub them lightly to create a lather, and then massage it evenly through your hair just like a regular shampoo.
Step 3: Wait & Reveal
l The 15-Minute Magic: Leave the rich, botanical foam on your hair for a full 15 minutes. This undisturbed time is essential for the natural pigments to grip the hair and for the herbal nutrients to deeply repair your roots.
l For Deeper Coverage: While 15 minutes is our standard recommendation, if you have resistant, coarse grays or desire a deeper tone (and have successfully passed your strand and patch tests), you can safely extend the processing time to 20 to 30 minutes.
l Rinse Thoroughly with Warm Water: Turn on the shower and rinse your hair thoroughly using warm or lukewarm water (avoid hot water to prevent color stripping and scalp dryness). Keep rinsing until the water runs absolutely clear and free of any cloudy pigment.
Consultant's Pro-Tip & Support:
l Do Not Mix: Please do not mix PearWood with your regular shampoo or conditioner during the application. Diluting the formula will disrupt the botanical pigments and lead to uneven results. Use your regular shampoo only on the days between your PearWood coloring sessions.
